Guardian of the Sacred Reliquary

I have a daily art ap and it just showed me a brass figure from a location in Africa that was a guardian of a family's sacred reliquary where bones or skulls of ancestors were stored. <div><br /></div><div>It got me thinking: an alien might use a robot guardian. Tempt the players by letting them translate the word reliquary from alien script. </div><div><br /></div><div>Alternately they find a &quot;reliquary&quot; but the translation is faulty it's the alien equivalent of a freeze field. They have to get past the guardian AND if they open the reliquary the alien inside was there for the same reason a PC might be in a freeze field: to save his life! Instead of finding bones and maybe treasure they are confronted with a medical emergency on an alien. If the alien dies this will/could impact future events. Like the alien's friend/family/compatriot shows up and is all: &quot;What have you done?&quot;</div>
