Whats in a name: escape pod vs life pod

Just saw a Star Trek Voyager episode and could have sworn Janeway called them life pods. <div><br /></div><div>Got me thinking that life pods sounds like your putting a nice spin on it. No doubt on star liners they like to sound hopeful and use the term life pod.</div><div><br /></div><div>No doubt there must a culture that would disdain to call it a life pod and have domething colorful: the coward pod, chicken sh*t pod etc. </div><div><br /></div><div>In your game what do you prefer to call them?</div><div><br /></div><div>Germane to topic:</div><div>Lifeboats?
