Remastering old rules - how to?

Hi all,<br /><br />A while ago I ran across the remastered SF rulebooks PDFs and was quite impressed.  I am currently interested in another out-of-print game (classic d&amp;d) and was wondering about remastering some of the old rulebooks (in this case the Rules Cyclopedia, my copy is dying.)<br /><br />So - is there a guide out there or directions on how to do something like this?  I tried copy &amp; pasting the PDF into libreoffice and its been a struggle - bad formatting and the text is often wrong etc.<br /><br />Any help appreciated.
