Miss Forged weapons as "cursed"

Just caught an episode of Forged in Fire- a reality TV show where blade smiths compete to produce a knife/weapon against time and each other. In each round one smith is eliminated with the last man standing being awarded 10K. <div><br /></div><div>Anyhow one smith was just eliminated because of cracks in his blade that the judges decided would likely fail during testing.</div><div><br /></div><div>It occurred to me that this could be a non magical cursed weapon- the miss forged (or miss crafted for something like a bow) weapon that has a percentage chance if fail. </div><div>If it a -1 item 10% chance of fail per combat and the fail chance is rolled once. For a -2 item 20% of fail tested twice per combat (first to hits) and so on.</div>
