Once I got the basis for fuel economy figured out, I thought it would be interesting to monkey with the numbers to put actual engines in vehicles (ie Power Generators).<div><br /></div><div>So I took one example from each class of vehicles (Cycle, Car, Explorer/Transport, and Heavy/Aircraft). Took the listed Top Speed in KPH and used the Fuel efficiency to derive what type of generator would be needed to power that speed. It's a bit of an abstraction, but it works well enough for me.</div><div><br /></div><div>So:</div><div><br /></div><div>Cycles: <span style="white-space: pre" class="Apple-tab-span"> </span>Type AA generator</div><div>Cars: <span style="white-space: pre" class="Apple-tab-span"> </span>Type A generator</div><div>Explorers/Transports: <span style="white-space: pre" class="Apple-tab-span"> </span>Type 0 generator</div><div>Heavy Vehicles/Aircraft:<span style="white-space: pre" class="Apple-tab-span"> </span>Type 1 generator</div><div><br /></div><div>As a check, I took the listed mass of generator and fuel and did a rough comparison with real world vehicles of that type. I got masses close enough to be happy with, allowing for the possibility of super-materials making masses lighter.</div>
