Can RPGs and or engaging in the Frontier via this site be a Hobby?

Interesting article in the NY Times on the benefits of having a hobby with particular focus on the neurological effects in the brain.<br />http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/03/business/worldbusiness/03iht-workcol0… /><br />So can RPGs be a hobby? I think yes. I'm heavily involved in the fan magazines and I believe that its part of my sanity solution for the crazy world I live in but something about it is lacking in a way that painting wargame miniatures better fits the information in this article.
