Future tech i never thought to see.

Sometimes you watch sci fi and there is future tech that seems little more than magic. I loved Star Trek but it very much was in that vein especially when TNG came along.<br /><br />For instance take the replicators: you simply told the computer to whip up a glass of Earl Gray, hot and whalla it appeared just like that. <br /><br />It just occured to me that we are witnessing the beginnings of replicator technology in the form of 3D printers. Its pretty much on the level of Key card computer tech was compared to today's computers but its the beginnings of replicator technology though with some very strictive limits at this time. Will we ever see: Earl Gray, hot? I dont know but this was an interesting realization.
