Often when a character walks into a local bar, the player in question puts forth some general pose about ordering 'a drink' and the RP moves on from there. I thought that maybe it would be nice to have a selection of beverages that would help define some of the various races and, in turn, help a player define their character.

Now, I haven't put a whole lot of thought into this - mainly it is just for fun. I have only covered the core races from AD and the 3 biological races from ZEBs and only to the extent that each races has two beverage examples.

Dralasite:
'Bread' Beer (3% alcohol): Thick - somewhat sweet and nutritious; liquid bread.

Truffle Brandy (50% alcohol): Very 'earthy' taste - made from fungus.

Human:
Berry Wine (14% alcohol): Typical real-life wine made from a variety of different types of fruit; sweet.

Whiskey (40% alcohol): Typical real-life whiskey.

Humma:
Blood Wine (50% alcohol): A thick drink made from the blood of conqured prey. It smells absolutely vile by human standards - something akin to a decomposing corpse. The taste however, is rather flat and dull - if one can get past the stink.

Clear (98% alcohol): A bottle of clear will always be absolutely clear (like water) and contain the pickled spleen of some formidible beast. The consumption of the spleen and/or drinking the alcohol infused with the essence of the spleen is believed to impart the prowess of the creature whose spleen was pickled (which leads to a wide assortment of clear which increases in value in correlation to the ferocity of the beast involved). It is a rite of passage to guzzle the last few gulps of clear and eat the pickled spleen at the bottom of the bottle. As well, it is common practice among humma to commission a special bottle of clear which contains the pickled spleen of a dead relative. It is believed that consuming this special bottle will impart the prowess of the dead relative.

If someone can not 'hold their clear', it means that they are weak.

Ifshniti:
Drupe Liqueur (15% alcohol): Sweet and usually clear - derived from peach-like drupes.

Cordial (8% alcohol): A thick, syrupy and sweet drink derived from various types of fruit.

Osakar:
Gin (40% alcohol): A clear spirit infused with the essences of a variety of different botanical materials. The osakar take great pleasure in attempting to differentiate between the various aromatics contained in the drink. The more pricy bottles will have a longer ingredient list. Osakar gin has a very complex flavor profile, coveted by the most elite of connoisseurs.

Climbik Cider (4% alcohol): A somewhat viscous and tangy drink, climbik cider is a beer-like drink made from the climbik fruit of Osak. This fruit is similar to a pineapple in taste, though it more closely resembles a waxy, pink kiwi fruit that is about the size of an orange.

Vrusk:
Rosy Port (20% alcohol): A sweet, wine-like drink made from various fruits. It is fortified (extra alcohol added) to aid in preservation. It is a traditional drink added to the stores of vruskan ships dating back to days long past when space travel was much slower.

Mead (10% alcohol): A sweet, beer-like drink made from fermented honey.

Yazirian:
Amber Ale (10% alcohol): A dark, bitter (by human standards) beer favored by yazirians because of its historic inclusion in many of their ceremonies and traditions.

Nectar (5% alcohol): A sweet, mead-like drink made from yool-fa flowers and honey.
