D&D, TSR and Why there are miniatures for Star Frontiers

http://www.dndlead.com/History.htm<br /><br />The above link chronicles the history of miniatures and D&amp;D. <br /><br />Of note is the fact that TSR only made miniatures for 2 years and this time period happened to coincide with the publication of Star Frontiers meaning that we got a line of miniatures that was perhaps more broad than would have been done under license to another company.<br /><br />It also may explain while some of the production runs of TSR minis are of such a poor quality of lead that they are subject to the blight of lead rot- inexperience in this market may have the cause of this.
