Something worked right

Three summers ago, I introduced my son and his friends to Star Frontiers, using Savage Worlds rules. Something clicked, as one of the guys really took to the game. I gave him a CD with some of the downloaded rules, and he ran with it. They've mostly been playing D&amp;D (3.5e or 4e) amongst themselves.<br /><br />He just showed me the Alpha Dawn box set that he bought with birthday money, and has announced to the gang that he will be running (probably Volturnus) over winter break from school. Straight rules, he says.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.starfrontiers.us/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/p…; alt="Foot in mouth" title="Foot in mouth" border="0" /><br /><br />One boy's said he wants to play a robot of some kind, so I am off to search for relevant articles for the new GM.
