Re these bolgs :<br /><br />http://arcanegamelore.com/2013/07/05/loyalty-points/<br />http://gorgonmilk.blogspot.com/2013/07/whats-my-motivation-loyalty-poin… /><br />Basic idea is to create a player controlled mechanic that creates social, ethical and moral ties to the setting world. <br /><br />Players have 3 points they can invest in a cause or passion and under one promosition they get a 5% EXP bonus when they take actions that advance that cause, ethic, or moral under another proposition they game game points they can use to affect in game dice rolls (fate points).<br /><br />The classic example cited was the AD&D pallidin that had constraints on his actions. I think this is a potentially a better to handle pallidins, clerics, shadow knights and etc- even assassins or theives. Of course in a game like Star Frontiers the 5% EXP doesn't work so well so you'd want passion/devotion motives and (fate points)
