Almost There

With all the advances in technology recently, with corporations reaching toward the stars, cloaking technology, possible faster than light options for space travel on the verge of being discovered, laserbeam technology has already reached the realm of what was once science fiction with the creation of the laser rifle and soon the laser pistol, and the ever-blossoming computer technology, it almost seems possible that mankind's space adventures could begin in our lifetimes. What would you do if it did?
