Cosmic radiation is a serious concern but could be dealt with with magnetic or plasma shielding. I'm leaning toward magnetic shielding as new tech for the game. Call it a mag field, originally installed on ships and around 100 FY personal mag shields were available for eva of astronauts outside of ships
