Rats in a Maze

Imagine a star system, Not Earth, where humans believed they evolved though dissenting scientist theorize that this is not the case. Eventually these humans begin to master space travel spread out into the system.<br /><br />Time passes and they begin to reach the point of mastering FTL jump technology and weird things are happenning- ships mysteriously lost, prominent FTL scientist disappeared, and other thing the feed the conspiracy theorist mill.<br /><br />The truth is that humanity did not evolve on this planet. They were brought here and their minds wiped with new memories implanted. The Manipulators have done this and they have an agenda the does not include humanity leaving their closed system and messing up their results. Humanity has become rats in a maze.<br /><br />The PC's mission involves escaping the system. Discovering a way to overthrow the Manipulators.
