This greatly facilitated both commerce and communication.<br /><br />At about that time new computer programs were developed that allowed even novice linguist to be almost as effective as the masters of their craft but with computer support.<br /><br />Sensing an opportunity PGC introduced a line of translator and protocol bots into the markets in the early days of the Frontier. These were mildly successful before being superceded by the avent of the poly vox.<br /><br />About the time of the Food Riots on Pale and the expeditions to Volturnus the polyvox became available to the general public.
