Purpose of this thread is brainstorming what the home planet of the yazirian looks like:<br /><br />The following is what I would extrapolate from the yazirian racial description:<br /><br /><b>1.</b> due to the yazirian pataguim (gliding skin flaps) it has been long assumed by many that the yaz were arboreal thus I would assume a large forest element with giant trees. Maybe not Avatar movie sized trees but at least CA redwood sized trees. Though the home tree of the navi was pretty cool. None the less, forest of Redwood and giant sequia like trees seem appropriate.<br /><br /><b>2. </b>Not all of Yaz would be forest and other environments would be represented- rocky canyons and cliffs- equally exploitable by a gliding creature. Could also write in a compulsive tree planting imperitive to the Yaz- that they abhor barren plains and feel compelled to plant trees (opposit of what humans do-cut them down). This idea plays into the whole yazirians are the big terra formers of the Frontier- any place they settle they plant trees to break up the open spaces.<br /><br /><b>3.</b> The Avatar movie hit on the bioluminescence issue and since the yazirian's eye sensitivity to bright sunlight has been written into them from day one, I've generally assumed a dim sun/nocturnal/dim forest existence for the yazirian early in his evolution. Writing in the bioluminescence to the plants and evironment would be cool and give you something to work with in describing plants and even animals.<br /><br /><b>4. </b>The racial stat bonuses that degrade STR/STA could suggest a weaker gravity (which benefits the gliding as well). Similar to the navi of Avatar the yazirian evolved in a weaker gravity and thus were physically weaker on average and taller (see average racial height)<br /><br /><br />
