The next major project that I'll be tacking in the ever increasing Universal role Playing System, will be a fantasy supplement for the system lovingly referred to as Sword & Sorcery. This system came about because I had created a version of Dungeons & Dragons which took the focus off of miniatures and brought the game back to it's role playing roots, while offering a tremendous amount of versatility for players to create whatever type of hero they wanted. this system while good increased the power levels of the characters opon retrospect too much, and so when I started working on the revised Star Frontier's rules I started to think about how the Hero template could be applied to my Dungeons & Dragons rules.

After some consideration I began to see the potential for a classless system for Dungeons and Dragons, and boiling down the Archtypical classes to a list of components that a player can use as a guideline when putting his hero together to emulate. Many D&D purists would balk at these changes if I dared call this Dungeons & Dragons, and so I changed the title to Sword & Sorcery and so this system was born.

I hope that this system will offer gamers an interesting alternative to Dungeons & Dragons, and is not in anyway my attempt to turn any D&D players away from that game system, but just to make a fantasy game that is fun like all the other URS games.
