Void jumping, Physics and Gravity

Question:<br /><br />Why do misjumped ships always land in a system?<br /><br />books says simply accelerating to 1% C activates the physics of void jumping but if its based on simple acceleration then decel would drop ships anywhere ie not in a system.<br /><br />The Ebony Eyes twin black holes were discovered on a misjump.<br /><br />It would seem that the activity of void jumping actually is impacted by gravity.<br />Is it possible that our understanding of void jumping is flawed?<br />
