The number of things that players have to keep track of becomes a pain because the characters have to keep track of not only how
much ammo they have per weapon, but how much juice they have in their melee
weapons, how much power is left in their belt/back packs, how many
Endurance points they have, and Psyche points (if they are psionic) and
how many points of damage in the round their defensive screens have
absorbed. So I'm trying to figure out a way to cut these things down.

Ammo for projectile weapons can not be cut down, but I'm thinking that
energy weapons (both melee, and ranged), and defensive screens might
have a number of hours of continuous use before needing a recharge
rather than keep track of charges/seu and then just list a recharge cost if the characters go to an authorized recharge station, or how long
they need to recharge if the character is charging them from his ship,
or vehicle's power generator.

It might seem a little abstract but it does keep the number of things
that a player needs to keep track of down allowing the players to
concentrate more on the adventure then number crunching. What do you
guys think?
