Colonial Union

Another great new space opera literary source that I want to do some work on is John Scalzi's Colonial Union as presented in Old Man's War, the Ghost Brigades, the Last Colony and Zoe's Tale.  Fantastic stuff, and plenty of neat tech an alien species to pull from.  If you haven't read Scalzi's books, do so.  Really good space opera.
