Getting rules covered with bind on printing cover

I was noticing that the local Staples had "bind on" paper cover binding as well as hard cover binding available and I thought since the prices seemed reasonable to try it out with the digitally remastered rules to save where and tear on my original editions.

Well one complication was the store had newer machines and the paper covers kept jamming in them so they offered me the generic blue with a clear plastic front cover which lets you see the first page of the document.
so I went with that. Anyway I was quizzing the guy about the binding and it turns out they can add pages at any time- they just heat it up and pop them in. if the binding craps out for some reason they can fix it. I'm guessing the books shouldn't be left in a hot car though.
I'll have to have the front covers printed and added as they were to be printed on the paper covers.

AD was bound with a 3/8" cover and KH with a 1/4" and the price for the binding on each was $2.49

all told with SFman #12 being printed with a full color cover and comb binding the three books cost me $20.52

Not bad compared to prices for rules at the hobby store.
