Buying a large format printer to do custom maps...optimal size for maps?

Hi guys. I am buying a large format printer to do custom maps for games. What size do you think are optimal for maps? This will determine what size of printer I get. My choices are 17&quot; wide and 24&quot; wide. The price difference is double ($1600 versus $3200).<br />Thanks for your feedback!
